In 1994, while recovering from a racing injury, I created the very first website dedicated to the sport of motocross, impactracing.com. It was created for the purpose of providing general information about the sport to the world, to provide race results, and hopefully to offset the costs of racing by selling parts and accessories online. I was the first to publish online What is Motocross? by Tom Threadgill ("Yak"), the local Western New York Motocross Association (WNYMA) announcer, who had written What is Motocross? for the year-end awards banquet program booklet. Countless other websites have been created over the years, many of which copied (without permission) What is Motocross? onto their own websites, have provided live race results, rider interviews, online stores, and much more. Many of these websites are backed by companies and large corporations and have staff dedicated to the production of their websites. I am one person, I do not have the time or resources to keep up, so I have decided to make impactracing.com a website for my personal racing efforts, and for any racing team (Impact Racing Motocross Team) I may start in the future.

Thank you to the many hundreds of thousands of visitors that have visited impactracing.com over the past decade. I would like to think I had something to do with the significant growth of the sport over the past several years, and in making motocross the top alternative sport in the world. I would also like to thank everyone involved with the Western New York Motocross Association for providing the best local motocross tracks in the USA. I especially thank Davey Coombs and the entire Coombs family for their hard work and dedication to the sport. I sincerely believe the Coombs family made motocross what it is today. Thank you!
